Studies have shown, two of the features visitors look for when visiting a new church is the quality of the nursery and restrooms.
CAS renovated the original restrooms from 1985 to blend with the traditional architecture of the historic sanctuary, reconfiguring the HVAC as well as plumbing. Toilet stalls and sinks were reconfigured to satisfy current Georgia Accessibility Codes. New work includes; existing block walls overlaid, new tile, new granite countertops with under counter mounted sinks, new automatic faucets, and stained oak cabinetry. Trash cans are tucked away from view with holes in the countertops for trash disposal. Stained oak crown and trim were installed along with a new bulkhead above the sinks and new custom wood toilet stalls built. All light fixtures were replaced, new wall sconces were added adjacent to new beveled mirrors with down lights above.
The Children’s building was built in 1988. After years of use as both a preschool and Sunday school classrooms, the area needed renovation. CAS provided ideas on how to better use and upgrade Snellville United Methodist’s existing church facilities by reconfiguring some of the interior spaces. CAS designed a new Children’s Check-In station, updated nursery and interior finish renovation. State of the art electronic check-in computers were installed for easy registration for parents. Equipment is hidden inside lockable cabinetry with carefully designed shelves for storage of brochures and marketing material.
